Richard Mosse – Traumatic yet Inspiring

Posted on April 9, 2012

RICHARD MOSSE, age 30, was born and grew up in Ireland and is now based in New York. He is driven by an ambivalence toward photography and a desire to revisit and even rewrite traumatic cultural histories. Mosse studied at Yale, Goldsmiths and the London Consortium. I found his work by chance whilst on the search for new inspiration to further inspire me and exapnd my knowledge on what fantastic photographers are out there and I found Richard Mosse. His works dipict sensitive scenes but his works are beautiful. He approaches his photography with a cross between both deadpan and documentary styles and this alone creates a very interesting result.
